Mrs. Lucille Brodber has been appointed as Project Director for the Jamaica Emergency Employment Programme (JEEP).
Mrs. Brodber assumed duties on Monday, March 12, 2012 under the Programme which will operate out of the Ministry of Transport, Works and Housing.
Among her duties will be directing the day to day of the Programme/Secretariat, the development and implementation of appropriate systems of accountability that are in line with Government’s policies and procedures; directing the implementation of the Programme to ensure that projects are efficiently executed as well as designing and implementing systems to monitor said Projects.
Mrs. Brodber comes to the position with a wealth of experience, having worked as a Quantity Surveyor on numerous projects spanning projects such as housing developments, construction of hospitals, police stations, schools, factories, tourism attractions etc. She has also managed programmes such as the Lift-Up Jamaica and the Inner City Renewal Programmes.
The Jamaica Emergency Employment Programme (JEEP) is one of the strategies of the Government of Jmaica to respond to the chronic unemployment status of some Jamaicans, particularly those in lower socio-economic strata, persons with special needs as well as those with low skills levels
