PORT AUTHORITY RECEIVES NUTECH MOBILE SCANNING MACHINE FROM GOVERNMENT OF CHINA

Sharing in the occasion are (from 2nd right) His Excellency Ambassador Zheng Qingdian, Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica and Dr. Paul Robertson, Senior Director Government Relations, Port Authority of Jamaica.

The Government of China donated a Nutech Mobile Scanning Machine to the Government of Jamaica to be used by the Port Authority of Jamaica at a Presentation Ceremony held at the Kingston Container Terminal on September 14.

The machine will be used for the scanning of containers at the Port of Kingston and will enhance the Port Authority’s security programme for the protection of cargo passing through the port.

The machine utilizes cutting edge technology and will be used primarily for scanning high density products such as frozen and refrigerated cargo.
