PORTS SECURITY CORPS RESTRUCTURING

Chairman of the Ports Security Corps (PSC), Mr. Brian George has disclosed that the Ports Security Corps is re-structuring its operations with a view to making it more efficient and effective.

To this end, he says, Mr. Robert Finzi-Smith, a member of the Board of Directors at the PSC has been appointed interim Managing Director replacing Mr. Lincoln Whyte, former Managing Director whose contract will not be renewed. Mr. Finzi-Smith will hold that position until such time as a new Director is appointed.

Mr. Finzi-Smith comes with a wealth of experience in the field of security having worked on various high profile engagements requiring his services. He has been seconded from the University of Technology to take up the position at the PSC.

The Ports Security Corps was incorporated in 1989 to safeguard all publicly owned sea and airports throughout the island. It is among the Agencies reporting to the Ministry of Transport, Works & Housing.The appointment took effect on March 1.
